You’ve checked out the gallery of available pre-made covers and you would like to purchase one.
So what happens next?
Send an email to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Each cover has a unique four-digit code. Let me know which cover you would like to purchase.
Tell me whether you would like just an ebook cover, or an ebook and a paperback.
On receipt of your email I will reserve that cover for you.
I will also send you a questionnaire. This will give me all the information I need in order to prepare your cover file(s).
If there are any additional options you would like to choose, please indicate this on the questionnaire. You can see the prices for any additional options on the pricing page.
Paperwork and payment
I will send you an invoice via Paypal. This will include any additional options you selected on the questionnaire.
I will also include an acceptance document, confirming the details of what you have ordered. A copy of the terms and conditions is available to read online here.
Shortly afterwards, a proof copy of the cover file(s) will be sent to you for your approval. You need to review the cover and let me know if you approve it or if you need any adjustments made.
Once the proofs have been approved
Please make the payment in full via Paypal. You do not need to have a Paypal account in order to make payment.
Preparing your cover file(s)
Once payment has been made, I will update the cover file(s) to produce your final cover. I will send you the final cover file(s) for you to upload to your ebook and print companies.
Should you encounter any problems at that stage, please let me know and I will be happy to help.
If you choose not to proceed
If you decide not to proceed with the purchase, before you have submitted your payment, please let me know.
I will un-reserve your chosen cover and it will be made available for other customers to choose.
Information about you and your data
By purchasing a pre-made cover from me, you are entering into a business agreement with me. I will need to record your information for my own business records (for example, I will record your name and address information) and I need to keep those records for a set period of time. Here in the UK, I need to retain that information for six years beyond the current tax year in order to meet my obligations for tax records.
I will not use your information for any other purpose other than to communicate with you about your order, unless I am required to do so to meet any legal obligations.
Most of my records are held within Europe and will not be transferred outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), with the exception of my email records and invoices.
It is possible to pass information out of the EEA where appropriate permissions have been given and precautions are in place. Google’s G Suite, which includes the Gmail email service I use, is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield framework as meeting specific safeguarding requirements. The EU have stated that data can only be transferred to the US (without needing to obtain your explicit consent) when the receiving company is certified under the Privacy Shield framework.
In order to prepare an invoice for you, I need to add your name and contact information into Paypal. Because Paypal’s servers are located around the world any information entered into Paypal may be transferred outside of the EEA. Because of this, I need your explicit consent before I provide your information to Paypal so that an invoice can be prepared.
From 25 May 2018 your rights are protected by the General Data Protection Regulation. I have provided more information about what this means and how I help to protect your data on my main website www.jonstubbington.com
Please let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to help. You can contact me at email@example.com. You can also see my full business information here.
